What is
Phi Gamma Nu?
Phi Gamma Nu is a professional business organization whose aim is to develop leadership, diversity, and social responsibility in its members. Established in 1924, the organization seeks to develop individuals professionally and personally through networking, skill building, and mentorship within the business community.
What BUPGN Offers?
Real-World Application
BUPGN members have the opportunity to apply the skills they learn in the classroom to real-world projects, running an organization, managing people, and navigating situations that will better prepare them for transitioning to the workplace.
Nationwide Networking
At BUPGN, we are devoted to each other and driven to success, meaning you have mentors for life ready to help you throughout your career. We create this community by connecting you with Alumni and business leaders across the United States.
Versatile Future Leaders
BUPGN accepts all majors to ensure that we are reflective of the demographics and skill sets of todayās businesses. Most importantly, this allows us to prepare future leaders across verticals with the skills needed to succeed.
PGN Alumni Network
PGN's partnerships include key players in the industry, such as Deloitte, Amazon, and Raymond James, to offer members access to professionals and potentially good career opportunities through networking events, workshops, and mentorship programs that help students achieve success.
PRESIDENTIAL WELCOME
It is with great honor that I welcome you to the Boston University Chapter of Phi Gamma Nu. Over the past two years, we have built strong relationships with esteemed BU faculty, PGN chapter leaders, and accomplished industry professionals, all of whom have contributed to the growth and success of our chapter.
Phi Gamma Nu is a national entrepreneurship focused, co-ed professional development organization dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders in business and beyond. With chapters across the United States and a vast network of accomplished alumni in various industries, PGN empowers its members to strive for excellence, pursue meaningful careers, and make lasting impacts. We take pride in fostering an environment where ambition is nurtured, and collaboration thrives.
PGN is not just closed off to Questrom majors but rather is open to students of ALL majors. We embrace a diverse community where each member brings unique talents and multi-perspectives. Through professional workshops, start-up pitch training, service initiatives, and a global network of lifelong connections, PGN provides a platform for both personal and professional growth.
Iād also like to share the story of PGN and the limitless possibilities it represents. Founded in 1924 at Northwestern University as a sorority, PGN has grown into a co-ed business fraternity and later transitioned into a co-ed professional development organization with chapters nationwide. In addition, bringing PGN to Boston University was no easy task. With BU no longer approving new fraternities, the odds were against us and we were told chances of approval were slim. Yet, in the fall of 2024, against all odds, PGN became a recognized organization at BU.
Here, Phi Gamma Nu embodies the belief that the sky is the limit.
Warm regards,
Min Aung
