When is the National Convention?

The National Convention will take place on Friday, February 21st, 2025 and run through Sunday, February 23rd, 2025. A more detailed agenda will be provided closer to the event, but Friday evening will kick off at 6pm and Sunday will end at 12pm.

Where is the 2025 National Convention?

The 2025 National Convention will be hosted at The Texican Court Hotel in Las Colinas, Texas.

Just a 10 minute drive from Dallas Fort Worth Airport, Texican Court offers a perfect blend of nostalgic charm and contemporary convenience, known for its vibrant atmosphere and central location.

We know that you are a product of your environment. Putting chapters in the right environment for creativity and providing the ability to disconnect and be present with other leaders in our organization is crucial for growth.

Why do we have a National Convention?

The National Convention is an opportunity to bring chapter leaders together from across the country to bond, collaborate, and continue to help the organization evolve. It is also a way for the National organization to thank leaders for all of their hard work and dedication to growing our organization.

DRESS CODE & PACKING LIST

Dress code for the event will be a mix of Business Casual and Smart Casual. There will be a professional photographer onsite taking headshots / photographs of the event. Jeans & Blazers will be acceptable attire for all events, but if you’d like to wear slacks instead for a full body photograph, that is at your discretion.

We recommend packing the following items:

  • Business / Smart Casual Clothing (e.g., slacks, nice jeans, nice shirt - blazer, blouse, button-down)

  • Athleisure clothing (e.g., shorts, t-shirts, hat)

  • Jacket (Note: February temperatures in Texas are in the mid 60’s during the day and drop to the 40s at night)

  • Sneakers / Dress Shoes

  • Sunscreen

  • Toiletries

  • The Convention begins at 6:00pm on Friday, February 21st and runs until 12:00pm on Sunday, February 23rd.

FLIGHT FAQs

  • Please start purchasing flights once you have received your email with your virtual card from PGN Nationals. Flights should be booked no later than Friday, January 24th, 2025.

  • Please make your best attempt to book the most economic airfare roundtrip to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). We recognize the cheapest option isn’t the best option always (i.e. multiple layovers, early departure time, etc). We expect you to use your best judgment when booking travel.

  • You should use the virtual credit card provided to you via email by PGN Nationals.

    We recommend flying in no later than 4:30 / 5:00pm on Friday 2/21 and flying out no earlier than 2:00 / 2:30pm on Sunday 2/23. Lunch will be served at the hotel on Sunday, so if you’re able to stay longer you’re welcome to eat lunch at the hotel. The hotel is ~10 minutes from DFW airport.

    If you cannot find flight times that fit into the schedule that are reasonable, please email executivedirector@pgnleaders.org with specifics of your proposed flight times.

ITINERARY FAQs

  • The finalized agenda will be provided to all participants at least a week in advance.

  • Group meals will be provided during the following times:

    Friday: Dinner

    Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner

    Sunday: Breakfast & Lunch

    Separate travel meals for breakfast and/or lunch will be covered on Friday and travel meals for dinner will be covered on Sunday. Be sure to adhere to expense policy limits listed below to be reimbursed. Alcohol will not be provided by PGN Nationals at this event, but if you are 21+ you are able to purchase at your own discretion.

    PGN's Travel Meal Expense Policy Limits:

    Breakfast - $20.00

    Lunch - $25.00

    Dinner - $30.00

  • Yes, most events will be mandatory unless otherwise noted. Our goal is to give you breaks throughout the programming to catch up on homework or relax.

COVID-19 FAQs

  • All National Convention attendees must be fully vaccinated or produce a negative test result within 24 hours of the National Convention start.

    It is also cold and flu season, so please be mindful if you are feeling ill in general (even if it is not COVID!)

  • We will have rapid COVID tests available for anyone that is feeling sick. Please email executivedirector@pgnleaders.org if you would like to receive a test.

  • There is no mask mandate in Texas and we will not require them for our group events. If you would like to wear a mask, you are welcome to do so at your discretion.

HOTEL FAQs

  • Check in starts at 3:00pm on Friday, February 21st unless you have emailed PGN Nationals in advance and gotten approval for an early arrival.

  • Check out is at 12:00pm on Sunday, February 23rd. If your flight is not until later in the day / evening, you can leave your luggage with the bellman and enjoy the hotel amenities until your departure.

  • This may be available on a case by case basis with the hotel, depending on rooms.

  • No - your hotel room has been booked by PGN Nationals and you will be assigned a roommate based on your registration form. Roommates will be communicated to you in advance of the Convention.

  • Yes - PGN Nationals will cover all costs at the hotel aside from any room incidentals you choose to purchase. This includes snacks, alcohol for those 21+, and fee-based amenities

  • The hotel will be provided with the dietary restrictions you submitted in the registration. When onsite, please remind your server of your dietary or allergy needs.

TRANSPORTATION FAQs

  • PGN Nationals will cover the costs of a rideshare from/to your home and the airport, as well as to/from DFW and the hotel. Please do your best to split a rideshare with one of your chapter members.

    Please pay with your personal card and submit all receipts and expense information via PGN's Travel & Expense form

  • Per IRS guidelines, PGN Nationals will reimburse drivers based on the 2025 reimbursement rate for mileage - $0.70 / mile driven.

  • All events and activities will be hosted on the grounds at Texican Court. Dinner Saturday night will be offsite and we will provide instruction on transportation while together.
